My sweet, sweet boy is going to be turning 3 in 2 short weeks. Where has the time gone?! I don't even remember life without him, yet it is already 3 short years ago when he came into our life. Now, here he is, turning into his own little person. Sometimes a person I am proud of, sometimes not. But he is MY son. It is crazy to think of it like that. He makes me laugh daily. In the beginning of May, I started asking him, Who's going to be THREE soon!?!" His reply, "MEEEEEE!" Now, the past week, whenever I ask him, his reply is "PETERRRRR!"
Talan has had an imaginary friend named Peter for some time now, but we used to not KNOW it was an imaginary friend. We always thought he was talking about his friend Peter he had at daycare! I mean, at Christmas time, we had to go to the mall quick and he asked if we could buy Peter a present! I thought it was so sweet, so I texted T's daycare lady asking if they were going to exchange Christmas gifts or draw names, because T wanted to buy Peter a Christmas gift! Then he would come home from daycare, and say something about "Peter", so we just ASSUMED he was talking about Peter at daycare. Then the day happened when we realized Peter was an imaginary friend. He needed to have a place set for Peter at the table in the kitchen to eat lunch with him. It all kind of made sense now, looking back at the different "stories" he had about "Peter". Well, T hasn't been talking about Peter for some time now until this past week when he started saying that Peter is going to be turning 3. He also just informed me tonight that PETER was having a Batman birthday cake and HE was having Diego. Ummmmmm, think again buddy! You've been talking about Batman for the past 2 months and your Batman birthday shirt just came in the mail last week...YOU'RE having the Batman cake! Hahaha.

Today I took him to the post office with me and left G at home with my sister. It was a lot easier that way. Well, for some reason it never fails. We go into the post office, there are always at least 5 or 6 people in line, and my child who normally ACTS shy in new places and with new people, walks around like he owns the place. I mean, the kid talks loud, looks at all the posters hanging on the walls, points at people. I have to constantly tell him to talk quiet or use his indoor voice. I don't even tell him to use an indoor voice at home. Well today, something happened I never thought would. A man walked into the post office. He was balding on top and was about the same height as my husband, but he had a beard. He asked as loud as he possibly could, while pointing (to make it even MORE embarrassing for me), "MOMMY! Is THAT my Daddy!?!" As if he had never seen his Daddy before. Seriously, I wanted to crawl in a hole. Instead I laughed, and said "No buddy, Daddy's at work!" He proceeds to say, "Noooooooo! My Daddy's here!" O.M.G. I started using my left hand so people could see my wedding ring and know that the poor child has a Daddy and he KNOWS who he is! Lol.

Another thing he has started doing JUST this past week, is making sure we have G if we leave the house. The kid could have cared less if we left him behind, but as much as wouldn't admit it, I think he's starting to like his brother. In fact, today G was crying when I put him down for a nap, and T decided to argue with me saying he doesn't want a nap and I needed to go get him! Well, Mama knows best, and G ended up taking a 3 hour nap :)

Here are some pictures from the past few days I've been meaning to put up of T with his new neighboorhood friends. It was quite the long day of T asking if he could play with Eli from the minute he woke up. I was able to hold him off until 8:30am before I bothered his mom asking if Eli wanted to play at some point today. I'm going to have to find him another friend for when Eli isn't home, however. All he asked about all day long was if Eli was home yet. He didn't believe me when I would tell him he wasn't...
They thought they needed to take the yard into their own hands being Daddy was taking too long...:)

Not quite sure which direction they're trying to go with the yard. One is using a snow shovel, another has a garden shovel, and the other one has a beach ball with some sand...anything could happen in this yard! Haha

'E' came into his playroom and thought she should help him clean up a little. Good luck! :)

Here sat G when I came to check on them...the kids WERE in there with him!! Lol

Teaching his brother about the Eiffel Tower

Story time!

Just hanging out watching a movie...

HApPy BirTHdaY mOnTH to T aNd HaPPy 6 MonThS tO G!!

I can't believe how long it has been since my last post but I have been BUSY! Between the now...3 businesses (Scentsy, ViSalus and the NEW Velata by Scentsy), doing hair on the side and being a stay-at-home mom, it has been CRAZY lately! Thursday I did hair, Friday I had a Scentsy party, Saturday I worked my first Expo with ViSalus, Sunday I had another Scentsy party, Monday I did some hair, Tuesday Velata launched and I had a wake for one of my best friend's mom who suddenly passed away, Wednesday I had G's 6month well-check AND I was able to clear off the table that has literally been accumulating everything you can imagine (I should have taken a picture of it! But thank you G for taking a nice long nap and allowing me to clean it off COMPLETELY!), I also cut my mom's hair...and now today, I went to go see a friend and her baby who is in the hospital for a while, and I did hair tonight! I mean it just keeps going and going and going. I'm not complaining by any means, I LOVE being busy, but this is the first time that I can honestly say I'm completely exhausted from it all! Tomorrow should be a nice, relaxing day. :)

Yesterday my baby G turned 6 months old! Time definitely flies by! We had his 6 month check up yesterday and boy do I have a stalky chunk on my hands! He weighed in at 17lbs 6oz which is right at the 50th percentile, but then the height comes in...he is 25 3/4" which is in the 15-20th percentile. Oh, and you can't forget about his head, that comes in at a whopping 17 1/4" which is proudly in the 70th percentile. My boys have always had big heads. With these stats done, I think it is always fun to compare where T was at at the same age. Everyone always comments on how BIG G is, when really, he is just a little more...compact! Hahaha. Believe it or not, T was only 4oz lighter than G at 17lbs 4 oz. But T was in the 60th percentile for height! He was exactly a whole inch taller at 26 3/4"! And T's head? Well that came in at being in the 75th percentile; he was 1/4 of an inch bigger than G. So, they are VERY comparable, except for the fact that G is a bit shorter so he "carries" the chub a little differently. I personally love chunky babies. :)
This is why I don't usually put him in shirts...everything rides up and sits on top of his belly :)

Sitting so big

Chomping down on Sophie...He has 2 teeth that just cut through!

Our smiley guy...Love him.

I don't know about all the other Mom's out there, but I get emotional when it comes to my child's birthday month. T's birthday isn't until the end of May, but it just really hit me yesterday, when he wanted to go find some "friends" to play with outside. And he just walked down the side walk like he owned the street, turning around saying, "Bye Mama! See you later!" Seriously!? He's just going to leave me and not have a care in the world that his Mama isn't going with him? And before this, we were playing with chalk on the steps, and I wrote our names on each step. He asked me "WHAT are you doing Mom!?" As if it was so NOT cool. I told him, "I'm writing our names on the steps buddy!" He says, "THAT is so EMBARRASSING!" What? How does he even know what the word is, much less use it in the correct context, and HOW can I already be embarrassing my almost 3 year old!?! I was laughing hysterically, thinking back to conversations when I as growing up, about if our mom embarrassed us! We thought she did, but being I don't remember any situations at the top of my head, I'm sure it wasn't THAT bad! Ha! Anyway, now it's trying to figure out how we're going to work this whole "playing outside" thing through the summer months. I have one guy that will be napping, I'm sure, while the other one will want to be outside! Should be interesting! Here are a few pictures from today when he went outside. And notice the choice of attire...Wow! I think he covered it all! Lol!
With all the pictures taken of G smiling, he's starting to want pictures of him now too. :)
He had to take his backpack outside filled with his Kiki's, Dog, Bobo (the monkey) and random little animals. I love the 1 shoe on, 1 shoe off, sitting in 80degree weather with a sweatshirt on. As if the 1 shoe off would help him cool down a little bit!
