My sweet, sweet boy is going to be turning 3 in 2 short weeks. Where has the time gone?! I don't even remember life without him, yet it is already 3 short years ago when he came into our life. Now, here he is, turning into his own little person. Sometimes a person I am proud of, sometimes not. But he is MY son. It is crazy to think of it like that. He makes me laugh daily. In the beginning of May, I started asking him, Who's going to be THREE soon!?!" His reply, "MEEEEEE!" Now, the past week, whenever I ask him, his reply is "PETERRRRR!"
Talan has had an imaginary friend named Peter for some time now, but we used to not KNOW it was an imaginary friend. We always thought he was talking about his friend Peter he had at daycare! I mean, at Christmas time, we had to go to the mall quick and he asked if we could buy Peter a present! I thought it was so sweet, so I texted T's daycare lady asking if they were going to exchange Christmas gifts or draw names, because T wanted to buy Peter a Christmas gift! Then he would come home from daycare, and say something about "Peter", so we just ASSUMED he was talking about Peter at daycare. Then the day happened when we realized Peter was an imaginary friend. He needed to have a place set for Peter at the table in the kitchen to eat lunch with him. It all kind of made sense now, looking back at the different "stories" he had about "Peter". Well, T hasn't been talking about Peter for some time now until this past week when he started saying that Peter is going to be turning 3. He also just informed me tonight that PETER was having a Batman birthday cake and HE was having Diego. Ummmmmm, think again buddy! You've been talking about Batman for the past 2 months and your Batman birthday shirt just came in the mail last week...YOU'RE having the Batman cake! Hahaha.
Today I took him to the post office with me and left G at home with my sister. It was a lot easier that way. Well, for some reason it never fails. We go into the post office, there are always at least 5 or 6 people in line, and my child who normally ACTS shy in new places and with new people, walks around like he owns the place. I mean, the kid talks loud, looks at all the posters hanging on the walls, points at people. I have to constantly tell him to talk quiet or use his indoor voice. I don't even tell him to use an indoor voice at home. Well today, something happened I never thought would. A man walked into the post office. He was balding on top and was about the same height as my husband, but he had a beard. He asked as loud as he possibly could, while pointing (to make it even MORE embarrassing for me), "MOMMY! Is THAT my Daddy!?!" As if he had never seen his Daddy before. Seriously, I wanted to crawl in a hole. Instead I laughed, and said "No buddy, Daddy's at work!" He proceeds to say, "Noooooooo! My Daddy's here!" O.M.G. I started using my left hand so people could see my wedding ring and know that the poor child has a Daddy and he KNOWS who he is! Lol.
Another thing he has started doing JUST this past week, is making sure we have G if we leave the house. The kid could have cared less if we left him behind, but as much as wouldn't admit it, I think he's starting to like his brother. In fact, today G was crying when I put him down for a nap, and T decided to argue with me saying he doesn't want a nap and I needed to go get him! Well, Mama knows best, and G ended up taking a 3 hour nap :)
Here are some pictures from the past few days I've been meaning to put up of T with his new neighboorhood friends. It was quite the long day of T asking if he could play with Eli from the minute he woke up. I was able to hold him off until 8:30am before I bothered his mom asking if Eli wanted to play at some point today. I'm going to have to find him another friend for when Eli isn't home, however. All he asked about all day long was if Eli was home yet. He didn't believe me when I would tell him he wasn't...

| They thought they needed to take the yard into their own hands being Daddy was taking too long...:) |
 |
| Not quite sure which direction they're trying to go with the yard. One is using a snow shovel, another has a garden shovel, and the other one has a beach ball with some sand...anything could happen in this yard! Haha |
 |
| 'E' came into his playroom and thought she should help him clean up a little. Good luck! :) |
 |
| Here sat G when I came to check on them...the kids WERE in there with him!! Lol |
